Bathroom Remodel: Day 4

April 13, 2014 - Joe, the plumber, arrived before 9:00 am and worked all day until 7:30 pm.  The main shut off valve is by the street; we don't have one by the house. When Joe went to turn the water back on, the valve broke. Phil called the City of Phoenix Water Dept. and they came out 30 minutes later. The valve was fixed in no time. Phew! Disaster averted.

Punching a hole through the wall to get at the plumbing for the washer outside. We'll have a door there eventually.

Drain for shower and shower floor completed.

A nice mess outside, but we are happy we can still use the washer and dryer.

Plumbing for shower and washer hookup inside. Joe made the height of the shower high enough to accommodate Phil's height. Nice!

Yesterday, Phil & I went to the Sears Outlet store and bought a stackable washer and dryer. It will be delivered on Tuesday.
